Home insurance can be divided to the 7 types. What do differentiated them from one to another is the situation type they protect.
Home Insurance protect 11 kinds of matter: aircraft, wind/hail, explosion, riots/civil unrest, fire/lightning, vehicles, volcano eruptions, vandalism, theft, smoke, and self-damaging instances ( part of building falls on itself, etc.).
This list is expandable to protect 6 again disaster type: falling objects, water damage ( 3 sub categories), snow/sleet/ice, and electrical surge damage.
1. This is basic homeowner insurance which protect your house to the loss because of 11 listed disasters above.
2. This plan cover #1, in addition to situation of the disaster more specific: snow, falling objects ( like trees), water damage (i.e. washing machine overflows, or dishwasher breaks), and electrical damage ( power surge).
3. This plan cover extended/specialty items, in addition to all listed above. The one is not protect by this plan is floods, earthquake, war, and detonation of nuclear.
4. Renters insurance coverage. This type of insurance will protect your home for the above listed items.
5. Complete risk coverage for the building and property.
6. Protection of condominium. This type of policy cover personal property from above disaster ( all 17).
7. This policy was designed for older house with historic value. The protection is cover 11 of basic disaster listed above. Under this plan, this protection is limited at cash values or work of correction of items entangled. Rebuilding/Replacement cost is not included, because some aspects from home ( historic value) can make this costs higher compared to cost market at this time.
There are variations able to be made with all above. There are special policies able to be used to protect mobile home. Opposite of renters insurance, which only covers the renters property, there is landlord insurance. This covers the actual dwelling, but not the property within.
